Compensation range for onsite WA applicants is $30.83/hr annually. All applicants are welcome to apply.

What can I expect in this role?
The QC Technician will add great value to AST’s quality department by operating with a team orientated mentality to assure that machines are made to a high level of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting manufactured parts using calibrated tooling such as micrometers and various gauges.
- Notate errors and out-of-tolerance parts during inspection on drawings.
- Follow all departmental procedures and work instructions. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and the company.
- Maintain a safe work environment through ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Report safety related discrepancies and recommend corrective action to prevent, to correct and to eliminate safety hazards.
- Assist in developing procedures to ensure quality and increased productivity.
- Operate laser marking equipment.
- Passivate and chemically clean manufactured parts.
- Clean and organize your work area daily. Organize and store machining fixtures and tooling for future use.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to sit or stand continuously for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to safely use ladders and multilevel work platforms.
Qualifications:
- A 2-year technical degree, or 2+ years of relevant experience in an inspection or measurement role.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- A strong attention to detail.
- The ability to effectively communicate with others and positively motivate team members.
- The desire to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
- An exceptionally high level of commitment to AST’s success.
- Self-motivation and excitement to learn.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must be willing to take and successfully pass a drug test. This is a safety sensitive position, and does require pre-employment drug testing, including testing for marijuana and THC.
